WIP Wednesday: I cast on these vanilla magic loop toe up socks on Sunday while we were vending at the Southern Adirondack Fiber Festival.
It was a cold rainy day, I needed a break from spinning but still wanted to knit to help my fingers stay warm. I had recently finished my cowl and somehow had nothing else with me. Luckily I was surrounded by supplies!
I bought needles, borrowed a swift, ball winder and a scale from various vendors and festival organizers and swiped a skein of yarn from my own racks.
These are my first magic loop socks and while stockinette is great for show knitting, learning a new technique there is not a good idea for me. There was much frogging and muttering involved, but I got there.
Our kitty Orpheus however, is hardly impressed.
